Starting the day off at the grill is a bold move. So is pizza for breakfast. It’s a great way to start a Saturday or make it the star of a Sunday brunch. It’s full of grilled veggies—so it’s full of nutrients. And the eggs, cheese and Jones Golden Brown Sausage pack it full of protein and flavor. A tasty way to take on the day.

Grilled Breakfast Pizza
The incredible flavors in this sausage, egg and veggie pizza are totally worth firing up the grill, but a large cast iron grill pan will work fine too.

Ingredients:

4 Jones Dairy Farm All Natural Little Pork Sausage, fully cooked and sliced, or any flavor of our fully cooked Golden Brown Sausage Links

1/4 small zucchini

1/4 green bell pepper
-
1/4 red bell pepper
-
1/4 yellow bell pepper
-
1/4 red onion
-
2 pre-made pizza crusts
-
2 tablespoons olive oil
-
1 teaspoon garlic powder
-
1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

2 large eggs

Directions:
Preheat grill to medium high heat.
Add sausage, zucchini, bell peppers and onions to grill. Grill until the vegetables are soft and the sausage is fully heated, about 10 minutes. Once cooked, remove from grill and slice.
Add precooked pizza crusts to the grill. Lightly baste crusts with olive oil and sprinkle with garlic powder. Warm the crusts, top each one with 1/4 cup cheese, vegetables, sausage and remaining cheese and carefully crack one egg onto the middle of each pizza. Close the lid of the grill and let the cheese melt and the eggs cook for about 5 minutes. If the eggs have not fully cooked after 5 minutes, move the pizzas to the top grill rack to cook some more without fear of burning the bottom.
Let cool for a few minutes, slice and enjoy!
